Frequently Asked Questions

How/where do I pay to enter?

We offer General Admission Gate Sales 90 minutes before each match for $20.00 (cash) per person. Make sure you let the staff know if you would like Tailgating or Stadium seating when you pull in so you will be directed to the correct area.

Season passes can be purchased at the Polo Office during office hours, call for more details (352) 750 – POLO.

What are the best seats?

The Upper Stadium is the best view of the field but it does require going up a flight of stairs. On the ground level, the tent seats (weather dependent) are the best view. Upgrade to either for $5.00 cash at the designated areas!

What is tailgating?

You can tailgate in a car or golf car and you are welcome to bring food, drinks, chairs, tents, and anything else you’d like to make your tailgating experience better, yes, even a grill. Cars will park on the opposite side of our roadway and guests can bring chairs to occupy their Tailgating Space. All tailgating spaces are general admission and will be parked on a first come first serve basis.

Is the polo club open to the public?

Yes, you don’t have to be a member or a Villager to enjoy a polo match. Children are welcome, 10 an under are free.

What is the recommended attire?

Polo is an outdoor event so we encourage guests to dress for the weather. We don’t require fancy dresses or big hats to enjoy polo. We encourage folks to ‘come as they are’. Don’t forget to partake in our Sunday themes though! Best Dressed even wins a prize!

Is there a parking fee?

No, parking is free!

Is there food and beverage available for purchase?

Tierra Del Sol will be offering catering options here during polo within the stadium!

How long does a match last?

A typical match runs about an hour and a half.

What if it rains?

Polo is an outdoor event, but there is shelter under our stadium. We take the horses and the rider’s safety into consideration when determining if a match will take place during or after rain. As long as there is no lightning in the area, we can typically play.

If the match has already started and we have to postpone, rain date tickets will be handed out upon departure and honored on the makeup date.

Are pets allowed?

Pets on a leash are allowed in our tailgate area across the field from the stadium, but not in the stadium. Only service animals are permitted in the stadium.

Is the stadium wheelchair/stroller accessible?

Yes, the entire first floor of the stadium is wheelchair and stroller accessible.

If you have difficulty walking, we do offer golf car shuttles to take you from your vehicle to the stadium.

Is there a divot stomp?

Yes! Join us on the field at every match for our Champagne Divot Stomp sponsored by Properties of The Villages.

Is there a gift shop?

Yes! We have a retail store with lots of logoed apparel and souvenirs. The Final Chukker is only open during game days once the gates open.
